The Trinity women's volleyball team celebrated their seniors during their final home match of the season against the Cardinal Stritch Wolves. Even with a close score in the first set, the Trolls were able to sweep the Wolves in three sets with scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-17 to finish conference play with a record of 17-1.
Three Trolls finished with double-digit kills on the night including senior Ana Lambros, who had a team-high 13 along with nine digs. Sophomore Sarah Kiwan and junior Anna Maatman also finished in the double digits, with Kiwan recording 12 kills and Maatman grabbing 10.
Senior Dani Van Laten also shined as she tallied 40 assists along with nine digs and three kills to finish out the regular season. Junior Britta Heggeland also helped on offense, hitting .467 (nine kills, two errors, 15 attempts) on the night.
The Trolls will be back in action again on Tuesday, Nov. 12 for the quarterfinals of the CCAC tournament. The team secured the No. 1 seed in the tournament, meaning they will host whoever finishes the regular season as the No. 8 seed. More information will be provided once it's available.
