The Trinity women's volleyball team traveled to Lakeland, Florida to face the Southeastern Fire. Following a four-set match, the Trolls were able to win 3-1.
In the first set, the Fire took an early lead on the Trolls and kept it for the remainder of the set. The Trolls were unable to come back, losing the set 17-25.
From there, Trinity was able to win three straight sets, beating the fire 25-22, 25-19 and 25-22. The Fire tried to fight back multiple times during those three sets, but were unable to, resulting in the 3-1 win for Trinity.
Three Trolls finished with double-digit kills including senior Ana Lambros and juniors Mady Zula and Anna Maatman. Lambros was able to finish the match with 16 kills and eight digs. Maatman grabbed 15 kills and 13 digs while Zula finished with 11 kills and three blocks.
Senior Dani Van Laten also added another double-double to her career, registering 45 assists and 17 digs. She also contributed five blocks.
The Trolls will be back in action tomorrow afternoon in Florida as they take on Webber International and Florida Memorial in a tri-match, with the first match beginning at 4 p.m. ET.
