The Trinity women's volleyball team traveled to downtown Chicago last night to face the Robert Morris Eagles in a CCAC match. The Trolls were able to secure the win in three sets to improve their conference record.
In the first two sets, the Trolls dominated the Eagles. Robert Morris was unable to score more than 12 points in each set, resulting in 25-9 and 25-12 wins for Trinity.
The third set saw a different look. Other players in the Trolls' lineup were getting to see some time in that match, resulting in a closer score. However, they were still able to defeat the Eagles, winning 25-23.
Two Trolls were able to secure double-digit kills last night. Sophomore Sarah Kiwan and senior Ana Lambros led the offense for Trinity during this match. Lambros had a team-high 14 kills while also registering eight digs, and Kiwan earned 10 kills and three blocks.
The team is now 9-1 in conference play and 11-6 overall.
The Trolls will be back in action again on Friday, Oct. 11, as they head to the Cornerstone Invitational in Grand Rapids, Mich.
