The Trinity women's soccer team was back in action again today at Schaaf Athletics Complex against the Robert Morris Eagles after hitting the road last week against Judson. Although they were down by two at the start of the match, the Trolls were able to come back, winning 5-2 against the Eagles.
The Trolls were unlike themselves to start the match, dropping two goals by the 22nd minute. But that was all that Trinity would allow. In the 31st minute, sophomore Selah Hopkins scored her first goal of the day, and that changed the dynamic for the Trolls.
Once the second half began, Hopkins scored two more goals while junior Drew McCarthy recorded two of her own. The Trolls' defense dominated the Eagles, preventing Robert Morris from scoring in the second half. Trinity won the match 5-2.
The Trolls will be back in action again on Tuesday, Oct. 22 as they head to Governors State.
