The Trinity women's basketball team traveled to Notre Dame, Indiana to face a tough conference competitor in the Holy Cross College Saints. In the game, the Trolls were able to come out victorious, breaking an eight-game losing streak.
The Trolls took an early lead, but at the half, the two teams were tied at 40. Once the second half began, the Trolls kicked it up a notch, grabbing a lead, and ultimately winning the game 82-72.
Leading the way for Trinity was junior Jasmine Elliott, who had a season-high 28 points, which was the most of anyone on the court. Three other Trolls were also able to contribute double-digit points, including senior Breanna Toppen (14), junior Abby Coates (12) and junior Jasmine Glover (12). Coates also led the team in rebounds with nine.
Trinity will head back to Indiana on Wednesday, Jan. 15 as they play in another CCAC contest against the Indiana South Bend Titans. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. ET.
