Trolls lose tight match to Wolves

The Trinity women's basketball team competed in a conference game today as they took on the Cardinal Stritch Wolves. The Trolls fought throughout most of the contest, but ultimately lost 73-76 to the Wolves.

The Trolls outshot the Wolves in three of the four quarters, but with the Trolls' second quarter slump, the Wolves were able to take the lead and keep it for the remainder of the game.

Leading the Trolls today was junior Jasmine Elliott. She started in her first match of the season and recorded 23 points while also grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds. This was also her first double-double of the season. She also registered a team-high five assists.

Three other Trinity players also recorded double-digit points today including sophomore Summer Cramer with 15, freshman Laila Rodriguez with 11 and senior Breanna Toppen with 10.

The team will have one more game before the Thanksgiving break as they host the Indiana South Bend Trojans on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
