The Trinity men's soccer team competed against the Roosevelt Lakers today on Senior Day, where the team honored their three seniors before the match. After fighting hard in the wind and the rain, the Trolls were unable to beat the Lakers, losing the match 0-3.
In the first half, Trinity tried to hold off the Lakers, which they were able to until the 25th minute, when their leading scorer Albert Arabik scored a goal. From there, Luis Arreola scored in the 42nd to make the score 2-0 in favor of the Lakers heading into the second half.
Once the second half started, it didn't take long for Roosevelt to score a third goal. This goal from Ronan Perennes happened in the first 10 minutes, which was the last goal scored in the game. The Trolls lost the match 0-3.
The Trolls will be back in action for their last home game of the season against Holy Cross on Tuesday, Oct. 29 beginning at 3 p.m. at Schaaf Athletics Complex.
