Human Performance Lab

The Human Performance Lab is a learning space utilized by the Physical Education, Recreation and Kinesiology departments. The Lab houses state-of-the-art equipment like a Bod Pod, which tests body fat percentage, and a metabolic cart for VO2max testing, among other things. Accessing and learning to use the equipment in this lab is an important part of the learning experience for students in the exercise science program.

Student-athletes are often able to be tested, using this equipment. The data from these tests also helps athletes as they condition and train for their sport. This data helps them understand their progress and gain a better understanding of their own body and the impact of their training.

The Performance Lab is also often used as a group exercise room, whether it be for a class or for the Healthy Troll Challenge, hosted each January by students in the PERK program.

Hospitality Suite

The Hospitality Suite is adjacent to the athletic and physical education offices and provides a birds eye view of the DeVos Gymnasium.  This space is primarily used for hosting college or athletic department guests.
